Church Services

Covid-19

The Church continues to be alive and active, but our buildings must close. We are still seeing a number of people falling sick with COVID-19 and we must distance ourselves from one another and prevent the spread of infection in order to save lives and take the burden off the NHS.

Nonetheless, There is a slow return to normality and we will be holding a service on 26th July at 9.30am with limited seating. In addition St Giles is now open for private worship and details of this can be found below.

The Gazette is now published on this website and this gives details of live streaming of services on the Gauzebrook Group Facebook page and you can find tis by following the menu tab.

Our worship of God and our care for each other continue and our Gauzebrook Group website contains details of how to join others online for prayer, worship, study, and community life. https://sites.google.com/site/gauzebrookchurches/home

The vicar and churchwardens of St Giles can be contacted in an emergency

“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength . . . Love your neighbour as yourself. There is no commandment greater than these.”

St Giles is part of the Gauzebrook Group Ministry which consists of 8 rural parishes in North Wiltshire which, in turn, is part of The Diocese of Bristol.

We have a monthly pattern of worship:

  • First Sunday: Morning Praise at 9.30 am
  • Second Sunday: Holy Communion at 9.30 am
  • Third Sunday: Family Service at 9.30 am
  • Fourth Sunday: Holy Communion at 9.30 am

Refreshments are served after all services and everyone is very welcome to stay.

When there is a fifth Sunday in the month, we have a Gauzebrook Together Service at 10.30 am which we share in rotation with the seven other parishes.

For details of all other services, please refer to the  ‘A Church Near You’ website which you can reach it by clicking Here
